Solar shades are perfect when you need to cut out the direct sunlight but would still like to have some view. These shades will offer light reduction while keeping the heat and the cold out and will offer some privacy. The fiber content is 36% Fiberglass and 64% PVC.

Light vacuuming or wiping them down with a damp cloth with mild detergent is all you need to do to keep them looking great. The brackets are mounted on each end of the roller so the material starts a little ways in from the end leaving a gap down both sides of the fabric. This gap will let light into the room. If this is an issue you may want to do draperies or side panels that will cover the sides of the roller shades.

The roller shades come with a clutch lift mechanism making them very easy to lift and lower and making them easy to stop at whatever height you want unlike the spring roller shades that are very hard to adjust.

For ALL roller blinds (sheers, roller shades, sunscreens or any blind that rolls up), the fabric width is approximately 1” narrower than the roller.
The fabric rolls on a tube, the mounting mechanism is attached to the end of the tube/roller. Therefore the total measurement of the shade itself is wider than the fabric. It is industry standard that the width measurement for all roller shades include the ENTIRE blind (including the mounting mechanism) - this is called the tip to tip measurement. The gap between the mechanisms and the fabric itself will be approximately 1". For inside the window mounts, you have to decide if the roller is the right window treatment for you. In cases where you are using drapes, this will not matter as they will cover the ends of the shade.
For outside mount shades, you do have a choice. You can ADD to the width of the roller to make the fabric any size you want. For example, if you need your fabric to be 35 inches wide. Simply add 1" to the width when you place your order. This includes the mechanisms and makes your fabric exactly at 35", but the total width of the shade would be 36”.
