The price is a little better than the custom faux wood and the time to receive them is quicker. They tend to have a plantation shutter look to them and with their individual slats it makes it easy to adjust the light and privacy in a room by rotating the louvers to different angles. Faux wood blinds are perfect in rooms with high humidity or moisture too. Faux woods are not affected by water and can easily be wiped off with a soft cloth. They can be used in garages or play rooms too because of their durability and ease of cleaning.The Doverwood Basics are a cut down blind so if you put them in the same room as other custom faux wood blinds you will see that the route holes and ladder strings will be closer to the edge of your window opening because they are cut down.
